At the Northwest Invitational, our guiding principle is to create a competitive environment that honors the true spirit of martial arts — respect, integrity, and safety above all else. Every match, division, and performance is an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, demonstrate skill, and grow in both character and discipline.
We are committed to ensuring a fair and level playing field for all participants, with clear, consistent rules applied by qualified officials. Competitors are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship, treating fellow athletes, referees, and spectators with courtesy and respect at all times.
Safety is our top priority. All divisions and match procedures are structured to protect participants from unnecessary risk while allowing authentic, spirited competition. We encourage every athlete to compete with courage and humility — striving not only for victory, but for the personal growth that comes through honest effort and respect for one’s opponent.

It is my honor to welcome you to the Northwest Invitational Martial Arts Tournament! I’m Master Erick Larson, and it’s a true privilege to serve as your Tournament Director for this exciting event.
The Northwest Invitational was created to celebrate the spirit of martial arts in the Pacific Northwest — a region known for its strength, camaraderie, and pursuit of excellence. Our goal is to provide an event that embodies the very best of competition: respect, sportsmanship, and an atmosphere where every athlete can perform at their highest potential.
I wish all competitors the very best of luck and encourage everyone to uphold the values that make our arts so meaningful — integrity, perseverance, and mutual respect. Let’s make this a tournament to remember, filled with great performances, new friendships, and lasting memories.
