Taekwondo Guide Q4 - Competition
For preparation for your belt test, you have a specific form that goes with your group level. You will be tested on this form:
Curriculum Poomsae:
Beginner (White and Adv. White): Ki Cho Ill Bo
Intermediate (Yellow thru Adv. Green): Taeguk Sa(4) Jang
Advanced ( Blue thru Adv. Red): Taeguk Pal(8) Jang
DanBo - Taeguk 1-8
Testings for Q4 - 2 scheduled dates
Saturday October 26th 11am Color Belts
Saturday December 7th 11am Color Belts and Black Belts
Competition / Sport Taekwondo
This quarter, our main focus will be on competition training to prepare for the upcoming President's Cup on November 9th in Federal Way, as well as for tournaments scheduled for the new year in 2025. I strongly encourage all students to participate in both board breaking and poomsae and get a genuine taekwondo competition experience. This will provide valuable learning opportunities and personal growth through the challenges and lessons that competing in taekwondo tournaments can offer. Being part of the team and striving for success can bring numerous benefits and incredible memories. This is one of the best chances to have a great experiences as we will be taking a full team! Competition will require a poomsae tailored to a specific belt level, rather than using our standard curriculum poomsae.

White and Adv. White Belts - Ki Cho Ill Bo
Yellow - Taeguk Ill(1) Jang
Adv. Yellow - Taeguk Ee(2) Jang
Green - Taeguk Sam(3) Jang
Adv. Green - Taeguk Sa(4) Jang
Blue - Taeguk Oh(5) Jang
Adv. Blue - Taeguk Yook(6) Jang
Red - Taeguk Chil Jang(7) Jang
Adv. Red and Danbo - Taeguk Pal(8) Jang
1st Dan Black - Koryo
2nd Dan Black -Guemgang
3rd Dan Black - Taebaek
Competition Training will be integrated into regular classes, with extra emphasis in :
Poomsae Class on Mon and Weds at 6pm
Kicking Class (Breaking) Fridays at 5pm.
